Job Overview
The Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital (NNUH) is one of the largest NHS trusts in the UK, providing acute care to a population of about one million. We are a teaching and research hospital closely linked to the University of East Anglia, with a strong focus on medicines management and innovative pharmaceutical practice. We are seeking enthusiastic and motivated pharmacists to join our rotational pharmacist team and contribute to delivering and developing high quality, patient‑focused pharmacy services across all aspects of hospital pharmacy.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide pharmacy services across all clinical specialties and pharmacy services as part of a rotational pharmacist team.
* Participate in 7‑day working, including one weekend duty (approximately 1 in 10) and at least one bank holiday duty per year.
* Engage in on‑call service (for band 6 pharmacists) with additional pay.
* Support pharmacy practice and, where relevant, pursue a post‑graduate pharmacy diploma.
* Collaborate with senior pharmacists, receiving ongoing support and feedback during all rotations.
Qualifications & Skills
* Newly qualified pharmacists, those qualifying later in 2025, or pharmacists with some experience at band 6 in hospital pharmacy.
* Self‑motivated, able to work independently and under pressure.
* Excellent communication skills and a willingness to learn.
* Interest in working within a teaching and research environment.
Working Pattern
Full time – 37.5 hours per week, with 7‑day working. Staff are required to work one weekend per ten (1 in 10) with corresponding time off during the week, and at least one bank holiday duty per year.
