JOB TITLE: In:house Counsel (Part:time)
PQE REQUIRED: 10 + years
LOCATION: Sutton Coldfield, West Midlands (Hybrid)
SALARY: GBP 80K : 100K (FTE)

This unique role is ideal for someone seeking flexibility while maintaining a high level of impact and ownership across a broad legal portfolio.As the sole legal advisor to the business, you will provide end:to:end legal support and oversight across all areas, including:
: Advising on procurement, commercial contracts, and ongoing operational matters
: Drafting, reviewing, and negotiating a wide range of contracts
: Overseeing employment contract matters
: Leading major project contract reviews and ensuring compliance
: Managing and resolving contractual disputes
This is a strategic role suited to a self:sufficient, commercially:minded lawyer who thrives on autonomy and is comfortable acting as the primary legal point of contact for the business. The part:time arrangement offers genuine flexibility and is well:suited to a senior legal professional seeking balance alongside continued professional challenge.
THE CANDIDATE: The successful In:house Counsel will have:
: Demonstrable experience in identifying and mitigating/harnessing risks and opportunities.
: Experienced in partnering with business partners, including finance, sales, HR, product strategy, sustainability, marketing and business operations across a wide range of stakeholders.
: In:house experience with proven strong drafting, communication, and excellent organisational skills;
: Ability to demonstrate a pro:active and commercial approach in identifying solutions and mitigating risk in a manner which supports business objectives;
: Experience with JCT / NEC contracts
