Contract Type: Full-time – Temp to Perm
Salary: £90 – £120 per day (depending on experience)
A welcoming junior school in Aylesbury is seeking a skilled Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join their team in January 2026. The successful candidate will support class teachers, lead small groups, and deliver whole-class sessions when required.
Key Responsibilities
* Plan and deliver learning activities to groups and whole classes
* Support pupils with varying abilities, including SEN and EAL
* Deliver targeted interventions in literacy and numeracy
* Support assessment and progress tracking
* Provide pastoral care and encourage positive behaviour
Requirements
* HLTA qualification or significant school-based experience
* Good understanding of Key Stage 2 curriculum
* Ability to work independently and manage whole-class learning
* Strong organisational and interpersonal skills
* A valid DBS or willingness to obtain one
