Live in Senior Housekeeper / Cook Job, Bridport Dorset
We have a great opportunity for an experienced housekeeper to help look after a beautiful large formal property. You will oversee two other housekeepers and liaise with the grounds team to ensure the household runs smoothly. This is the main residence for a couple with grown up children. They are looking for someone to stay long-term.
The role also involves looking after their two beautiful dogs when the couple are away shared with the other housekeepers. In addition, occasional help in the garden, mostly watering in the summer months.
Duties include:
1. Opening the home
2. Hands-on Housekeeping to a high standard, (Oversee two part time housekeepers)
3. Laundry, linen and ironing
4. Wardrobe management
5. Packing and unpacking of suitcases
6. Simple family cooking.
7. Service when the couple entertain
8. Daily dog care
9. Overseeing contractors reporting and logging maintenance issues
10. Ordering weekly food shops
11. Unpacking deliveries keeping on top of stock levels
12. Running errands
13. Keeping on top of the organisation of the home including stock inventories
14. Meeting and greeting guests
15. Closing the home for the day
The Couple have a strong preference for someone with a yachting background, or prior experience working in a formally run home.
Start date: As soon as possible
Working week: 5 days a week - to include weekends on rotation
Working Hours: 40 hours, any overtime worked will be given back in Lieu.
Accommodation: Two-bedroom cottage, Bills included (No pets or dependants will be considered)
Salary £40,000 - £45,000+ Depending on experience
