Responsibilities
* Develop an understanding of Pre‑Contract Management and Project commercial start‑up procedures.
* Procure materials and off‑site services efficiently, ensuring compliance with best practice, legal requirements and VINCI procurement procedures and policies.
* Assist with subcontract procurement in accordance with the procurement schedule and Vinci procurement process and policy.
* Prepare work package content sheets.
* Prepare subcontract invitations to tender and evaluate tender returns (time, cost, quality and SHE).
* Develop an understanding of the importance of the supply chain for continuous improvement in time, cost, quality and learning.
* Assist in the timely preparation of valuations and invoices, and receipt of payment.
* Assist in the prompt preparation and settlement of final accounts.
* Understand principle unit costs of resources (labour, plant and materials).
* Monitor and manage subcontract costs.
* Prepare material wastage reconciliations.
* Identify unnecessary costs and inefficient activities.
* Review plant and equipment schedules to ensure efficient use.
* Contribute to the production of accurate and timely CVR reports and forecasts.
* Develop an understanding of the need for accurate and robust reporting structures.
* Learn how planning and programming contribute to accurate progress reporting.
* Identify risks and opportunities in projects.
* Recognise and record change, and support early value‑engineering activities, ensuring all associated costs are included within the evaluation.
* Understand programming and sequencing requirements.
* Understand contractual relationships and VINCI obligations, with particular emphasis on Conditions Precedent.
* Ensure all necessary contractual notices are put in place accurately and on time.
* Support the preparation of all necessary subcontract notices accurately and on time.
* Assist in the preparation of subcontract instructions.
* Adhere to subcontract change control procedures.
* Prepare timely and accurate payments for authorisation.
* Check day‑work sheets and time‑and‑material records for accuracy.
* Assist in the prompt preparation and settlement of final accounts, including variations, claims and disputes.
* Re‑measure and provide quantified schedules of works or bills of quantities.
* Perform on‑site quantification of unfixed materials.
* Support project close‑out and archiving.
