Job Description
A leading engineering & manufacturing company is seeking a Project Manager to take ownership of a portfolio of strategic initiatives during a period of sustained investment and operational evolution.
This position offers a high level of autonomy and influence, with regular engagement at executive level and the opportunity to contribute to long-term business direction.
Key Accountabilities
- Lead the development and implementation of our portfolio governance and delivery frameworks
- Coordinate multiple project streams, ensuring alignment with wider business objectives
- Identify and mitigate risks, managing cross-project impacts and dependencies
- Monitor performance against key milestones and drive corrective actions where required
- Promote a strong culture of safety, compliance, and operational best practice
- Support clear definition of project objectives, scope, and success measures
- Engage stakeholders across the organisation, providing clear and structured updates
- Facilitate the transition of completed initiatives into operational teams
- Candidate Profile
- Demonstrated experience delivering complex programmes in a structured environment
- Strong leadership capability with the ability to influence across multiple functions
- Experience managing high-value or technically complex initiatives
- Familiarity with recognised project or programme management approaches
- Understanding of regulated or safety-critical environments
- Working on high value projects within the company
- Strong planning, coordination, and communication skills
- Formation experience within a manufacturing/heavy engineering would be advantageous
- Experience with project planning tools and structured reporting
- Recognised Project qualification
- Recognised H&S qualification
- Experience of working within a manufacturing/heavy engineering sector would be highly advantageous
