Role Description
We are seeking a highly organised and commercially aware Operations & Compliance Assistant to support the Managing Director across compliance oversight, financial administration and business operations within a proprietary energy trading firm.
This is a broad, hands-on position offering significant exposure to trading operations, regulatory processes and financial controls. The role is central to maintaining operational discipline, financial accuracy and strong governance standards as the business continues to grow.
The successful candidate will operate at the core of the business, ensuring that compliance, accounting and administrative functions are executed with precision and professionalism.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree (or equivalent experience) in:
* Finance
* Accounting
* Business Administration
* Economics
* Law
* Or a related discipline
1–4 years' experience in an operations, compliance support, finance, or accounting role within:
* Financial services
* Commodities / trading
* Professional services
Practical experience supporting
KYC / AML processes

* Counterparty onboarding
* Document collection and review
* Basic sanctions and PEP screening
Experience with
daily accounting or bookkeeping

* Invoicing and payment tracking
* Bank reconciliations
