About The Role
The role of HE Lecturer - Law at University Centre (UC) Leeds involves planning, delivering, and assessing curriculum for students across Access to HE Law and the LLB (Hons) Degree.
The curriculum at UC Leeds is vocational, diverse, and designed to prepare students for careers in legal and criminal justice fields. The institution holds Degree Awarding Powers and serves over 1300 students.
We offer a comprehensive LLB (Hons) Law degree, validated by The Open University.
Law professionals with relevant degrees are encouraged to apply, even without current teaching qualifications. There may be funded opportunities to support qualification attainment. What You Will Do
* Plan, prepare, and develop schemes of work, session plans, and assessment plans.
* Deliver and assess legal knowledge and understanding.
* Maintain and update subject knowledge.
* Adapt teaching methods, including technology use, to maximize effectiveness.
* Apply research-based effective teaching, learning, and assessment practices.
About You
* Hold a Level 5 Teaching Qualification (e.g., Cert Ed, PGCE) or be willing to undertake and complete this within 2 years.
* Possess a relevant vocational qualification or degree in the teaching subject.
* Have recent teaching experience in relevant areas demonstrating active learning and differentiated teaching styles.
* Knowledge of current teaching practices and experience utilizing diverse teaching methods to enhance learner progression.
