Purpose of the role
We are seeking an experienced Learning & Development Partner to join our HR Support Services team at our Head Office in Solihull, B37 7YB, with UK travel expected. You will lead our training strategy, ensure compliance, and support career growth across the organization.
This role offers a chance to influence learning initiatives at Colas, working with internal and external partners to build capability and support development.
Main Responsibilities
Identify training needs with business leaders, manage training requests, support L&D strategy implementation, design leadership programs, evaluate training effectiveness, manage relationships with training providers, support apprenticeship and graduate programs, assist in audits and budgets, maintain training matrices, and improve L&D processes and policies.
Ideal Candidate
Requires a minimum CIPD Level 3 qualification in Learning and Development, experience in a consultative L&D role, strong understanding of the learning cycle, excellent organizational and stakeholder skills, proficiency in Microsoft Office and Learning Management Systems, and project management experience. Knowledge of apprenticeships and industry standards is desirable; construction or industrial sector experience is a plus.
