Reinsurance Accounting Technician to £50,000

They are now looking for an experienced Reinsurance Accounting Technician to join their City of London operation.
The Reinsurance Accounting Technician will assist the ceded reinsurance function in all aspects of their technical accounting and credit control. This includes making sure all reinsurance premium payments are paid within contractual timeframes, allocating all reinsurance transactions to the applicable reinsurers within the database systems, production of regular Ml including aged debt reports and forthcoming payments to interested stakeholders.
Duties:
Ensure reinsurance premium and settlement payments are made within contractual obligations.
Liaise with both internal and external stakeholders to ensure all payments are made on time.
Review and authorise Lors payments, making sure these are in line with transactions that have been created in the system.
Confirm the necessary authority has been received for reinsurance settlements per approved authorities.
Management of all reinsurance transactions initiating settlement and receipt with third parties.
Accurate allocation of settlements/receipts to reinsurer level within databases.
Effectively manage intercompany balances ensuring prompt transfer of funds.
Clear all unmatched balances and ensure amounts are kept to a minimum.
Produce regular reinsurance aged debt reports showing unsettled ceded financials at Group and Entity levels by reinsurer.
Produce weekly ceded financial summaries of unsettled due payments.
Produce regular summary of up-and-coming payments for treasury's benefit to arrange available funds.
Assist with development and testing of software tools through liaison with Business Analytics team.
