If so, our client, a leading customer communications company based in Sheffield (Darnell), is looking for you!
As the Warehouse Team Manager, you will be responsible for running a highly efficient and agile warehouse department by supporting and leading a team to meet customer requirements.
Main Duties:
1. Organise the off-loading, receipting, and storage of goods according to standard operational procedures and maintain relevant documentation.
2. Ensure the safe unloading/loading of vehicles, including the entry and control of trailer movements and parking.
3. Conduct and document pre-start checks at each shift's start; report any defects immediately to the Warehousing & Fulfilment Manager.
4. Maintain operational equipment to a high standard and report defects promptly.
5. Check, maintain, and keep clean all truck batteries, including water levels.
6. Manage daily picking requirements to meet Customer SLAs and ensure order fulfillment.
7. Organise stock replenishment to maintain optimal levels and update the stock system accurately.
8. In collaboration with the Head of Warehousing and HR, recruit, interview, select, hire, and onboard new employees.
9. Motivate and inspire the team through positive communication, regular meetings, appraisals, and setting achievable objectives.
10. Implement a performance management process that encourages contribution, including goal setting, feedback, and development planning.
11. Oversee training and development, maintaining skills matrices and ensuring staff are trained on relevant tasks and equipment.
Skills/Experience:
* Previous Warehouse Team Manager experience.
* Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Excel, Explorer, and related tools.
* Understanding of warehouse metrics, including OTIF requirements.
* Forklift operation experience with a valid license.
This is a full-time, site-based role. Hours are Monday to Friday, 11 am to 7:30 pm.
