Summary
The National Trust is renowned for its food and hospitality. We run 185 cafes, tea-rooms and restaurants all over England, Wales and Northern Ireland, and we'd love you to join us. We’re looking for a Food and Beverage Team Member. In this role, you’d be making a real difference to the work of the National Trust, as well as helping to give people a memorable day out.

Contract type: This is a zero-hour contract. Offering flexible hours, approximately 30 hours per week. While hours are not guaranteed, we aim to provide a consistent working pattern where possible.
Contract duration: This position is fixed term ending on 31st October, with a possibility of extending.
Hours/Working pattern: Typical shifts are 8.30am to 3.00pm (including a 30 minute break), working around 3 - 5 days a week depending on business needs. During peak periods, such as school holidays or when covering annual leave it is likely you will be working 5 days a week.
This role includes regular weekend and Bank Holiday working as part of the rota.
Salary: £12.75 per hour

What you'll be doing
You will be working as part of the kitchen team, supporting food preparation and service in a busy cafe environment. Duties will include baking items such as pasties and sausage rolls, replenishing the hot food display, assisting chefs during service and helping maintain a clean and organised kitchen.
The role also involves supporting the flow of service between the kitchen and cafe to ensure a smooth and efficient operation.
We’ll give you an induction that fits the job, and training in allergens and food safety, plus any mentoring needed to help you in your role. You can sign up for further professional training and development if you wish.
We are looking for someone with a positive attitude who enjoys working as part of a team and takes pride in helping create a great experience for our visitors.
Previous kitchen or hospitality experience is helpful but not essential, as full training will be provided.
