Semi-skilled General Operative (TP46620) Sutton-In-Ashfield, England
Salary: GBP26500 - GBP28500 per annum
Semi-skilled General Operative required. Our client is a specialist manufacturer, supplying a range of industries with specialist engineering and fabrication solutions based in the Sutton-in-Ashfield, Nottinghamshire area.
Our client specialised within sheet metal manufacturing including laser cutting, press brakes and welding. The role is a varied and hands-on position working across production and stores.
Position Overview
* Assisting with fabrication and assembly
* Cutting of timber, ply and chipboards for projects
* Operating a forklift within the warehouse
* Palletising and wrapping of products ready for dispatch
* Assisting with loading and unloading of lorries
* Assist with quality inspection to ISO9001 standards
* Ensuring the workshop and warehouse are kept in tidy and safe conditions
Position Requirements
* Ability to competently use power tools and hand tools
* Experience working in a manufacturing, engineering, or similar trade environment (e.g. electrical, joinery)
* Proactive, reliable, and with a positive attitude to work
* Good understanding of health & safety practices
* Willingness to support across fabrication, assembly, and workshop activities
* Crane operator licence and/or forklift licence would be highly advantageous (RTITB / AITT accredited) preferred
* Willingness to obtain CS Clearance and DBS Check
* Full UK Driving License
Position Remuneration
* Monday to Thursday 08:00 – 16:30. Friday 08:00 – 15:30. Permanent position.
