IT Support Analyst
to deliver comprehensive on-site and remote technical support for a leading professional services firm. Based in Cambridge, this role supports users across multiple UK offices including Norwich, Birmingham, London, Manchester, Leeds, and Oxford. Occasional travel to other offices will be required.
Youll provide a hands-on helpdesk service, maintain IT infrastructure and applications, and ensure smooth day-to-day operations for staff and systems.
Key Responsibilities
Provide on-site and remote IT support for hardware, software, and network issues.
Handle service desk tickets (up to 100 per week), ensuring prompt resolution.
Maintain IT assets, perform regular equipment checks, and manage installations, upgrades, and repairs.
Support and maintain core infrastructure including laptops, networks, telephony, and software applications (e.g. Microsoft 365, CRM, document management systems).
Configure user accounts, permissions, and distribution lists.
Assist with AV setup and meeting room technology.
Support senior IT management with system changes, cabling, and equipment setup.
Participate in the out-of-hours support rota (approximately one week in six).
About You
Youll bring strong technical and interpersonal skills, with experience in a professional IT support environment.
Essential Experience & Skills
Previous experience in a helpdesk or IT support role.
Knowledge of PC and laptop hardware, printers, scanners, and peripherals.
Basic understanding of network patching and connectivity.
Familiarity with Windows operating systems and Microsoft Office applications.
Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication and customer service skills.
Organised, detail-oriented, and able to prioritise effectively.
A collaborative team player who can also work independently.
Flexibility to travel between offices and adjust working hours as required.
Working Pattern
Core hours: rotating shifts between 08:0016:00, 09:0017:00, and 10:0018:00.
Occasional travel to regional offices and participation in the out-of-hours rota.
