The Data and Insights Division is comprised of four key areas: 1. Data Governance and Intelligence; 2. Data Acquisition, Quality, Strategy and Literacy; 3. Data Insights; 4. Data Architecture, Platform and Engineering. This presents an opportunity to design a data strategy aligned with the organization's goals and execute the delivery of data effectively. D&I enables SJP to leverage value from its data through actionable insights and data led decision making.
The Data Acquisition, Quality, and Strategy (DAQS) Division focuses on data relationships, Data Quality, Data Strategy, and Data Literacy at SJP. The division is essential to D&I to oversee and manage relationships with our third party data providers, monitor the quality of incoming data and data within the SJP estate, define SJP's data strategy and how it aligns with the overall business vision, and enable SJP to become a truly data literate organisation with a strong data culture.
Reporting to the Divisional Director – Data Acquisition, Quality, & Strategy in the Data Acquisition, Quality, & Strategy division of the Data & Insights (D&I) team, the role holder will be responsible for the initiation and delivery of corporate wide data reconciliation initiatives which deliver measurable benefits to SJP, its clients, Partners and employees.
What you'll be doing:
* Building a full understanding of source and target data schemas between multiple data stores.
* Analysing both legacy and newly created data held within source and target
* Building complete understanding of source and target data schemas and document source-to-target mapping rules
* Creating scripts to transform source data in accordance with mapping rules
* Creating reconciliation suites, including generating reporting, to compare expected versus actuals on pre-defined key data fields
* Completing ad-hoc data analysis tasks
* Working within SJP's central data management frameworks, for example data quality and data governance
* Engaging with project teams and business stakeholders to assess reconciliation requirements and provide narrative around reporting.
Who we're looking for:
We are looking for an experienced data professional who has the ability to inspire, motivate, and guide teams, fostering collaboration and a shared vision for data excellence.
Essential Criteria
* Highly experienced data professional with advanced Snowflake and SQL Server Skills
* Highly experienced with data architecture, schema design, and working with large data sets.
* Experience with large scale complex data migration projects.
* Capable of fostering mutually beneficial relationships across multiple business areas and all levels
Desirable Criteria
* Proven experience in large-scale migration projects within financial services or other regulated industries, including client and plan integrations.
