Job Posting Title: Marketing Manager, Star Wars & Marvel, 12 Month Fixed Term Contract Req ID: 10139337 Job Description: This is a 12-month fixed-term contract, running until January 2027, requiring four in office days per week plus a Friday working from home. The Disney Consumer Products EMEA Marketing team partners closely with Brand Commercialisation, Category, Retail, PR & Communications, Brand Franchise Management, and cross–line-of-business teams to bring our iconic franchises to life for fans across the region. Reporting to the Senior Marketing Manager, this role will support and lead brand marketing activity for priority evergreen franchises and tentpole properties, with a particular focus on Marvel and Star Wars. You will also plan and execute long-term and fiscal-year marketing strategies for key licensee partners, managing marketing activity and account support across the Hardlines and Food categories. This includes translating broader brand and commercial strategies into effective campaigns that resonate with diverse audiences and deliver measurable commercial impact at key moments throughout the year. Relationship management is key to the success of this role. You will be responsible for building and maintaining strong working partnerships with internal stakeholders and with both new and existing licensees. Through regular engagement and joint business planning, you will help support strategic growth opportunities and contribute to the delivery of licensing sales objectives across the EMEA business. Working with Global and EMEA teams, develop and deliver strategic marketing campaigns that elevate Marvel and Star Wars brand storytelling, engage target audiences, and support commercial objectives. • Support brand marketing efforts by translating overarching franchise and commercial strategies into clear, actionable marketing plans, leading both strategic thinking and day-to-day execution across campaigns and special projects • Build strong collaborative relationships with local country DCP teams, sharing clear and regular marketing strategy and licensee updates while ensuring local market needs and nuances are understood and addressed. • Lead synergy opportunities with other lines of business, including Studios, Disneyland Paris, Integrated Marketing, Disney, Theatrical Group, and Disney Store. • Partner closely with the Studios team to identify and deliver licensee synergy opportunities around key tentpole properties. • Work with licensees and retail teams to drive category-specific retail marketing execution across key accounts, including in-store POS, window displays, digital activations, events, screenings, and other synergy initiatives, as well as broader category growth programmes. • Manage day-to-day marketing relationships with key licensee marketing teams, providing ongoing support to category teams across additional growth licensees as required. • Leverage macro and micro trends, alongside audience, category, and retailer insights, to inform more effective DCP marketing campaigns and maximise return on investment. • Collaborate with category teams to identify white-space opportunities for licensee marketing and category expansion. • Support the Senior Marketing Manager and category teams in developing and pitching initiatives that drive category growth and maximise identified white space. • Manage and track allocated marketing budgets in line with the Annual Operating Plan (AOP). • Partner with licensees to unlock incremental funding and additional exposure for priority products and campaigns. • Share best practice, campaign learnings, and performance analysis across regional, local, and global teams. • Build strong connections with wider TWDC functions to develop a broader understanding of the business and identify future collaboration opportunities. Experience Required · Marketing experience within consumer products commercialisation (ideally hardlines) and/or retail across EMEA. Experience in retail/shopper marketing advantageous · A strong understanding of omnichannel marketing campaigns including retail, experiential, social, digital, influencer and above the line marketing · Experience in pitching to B2B partners (ideally hardlines licensees) and retail partners · Proven experience of building effective relationships, leading and managing change and collaboration across departments to achieve financial targets and joint goals · Knowledge of trends within the category sectors with the ability to take industry trends and translate them into something that drives growth for DCP Skills Required · Uses strategic thinking to address business challenges, bringing knowledge of relevant industry trends, data and consumer insights to construct practical conclusions and implement recommendations to achieve business targets · Solutions orientated and a clear collaborator, seeks out the right people to work with and communicates effectively and confidently to ensure everyone involved is on track and that key stakeholders have the ability to influence where needed · Timely delivery - excellent planning and organisation skills and able to prioritise autonomously · Ability to give both internal and external stakeholders clear direction, and manage feedback and approval process within relevant brand guidelines · Ability to influence and achieve buy-in at all levels, and be flexible and adaptable with stakeholders at all levels and regions of the organisation (Global, EMEA, local market) · Team leadership – supporting junior team members as part of their actionable development plans, providing fair & timely feedback as part of team coaching · Financial acumen - an ability to understand and drive a P&L and quarterly forecasting process · Ability to understand and work within the legal and brand guidelines · Cultural sensitivity and an understanding of local markets across EMEA Working Arrangements · Based in Hammersmith, London four days a week plus a Monday or Friday working from home with flexibility needed for occasional international travel. · Flexible hours may be required around key campaign moments.
