We are recruiting on behalf of a leading PLC residential developer who is looking to appoint an experienced Freelance Quantity Surveyor to support a new build residential project in Headington, Oxfordshire on an initial 3-month contract basis. This is an excellent opportunity for a proven QS to join a well-structured commercial team and hit the ground running on a live scheme. The Role As Freelance Quantity Surveyor, you’ll be responsible for day-to-day commercial management across the project, supporting delivery from a cost and contract perspective. Typical duties will include: * Managing subcontractor procurement, valuations and payments * Administering contracts and managing variations / change control * Supporting cost reporting and forecasting * Assisting with budget management and cost-to-complete updates * Working closely with the site and project teams to ensure commercial performance * Handling interim valuations, final accounts and subcontractor negotiations About You Our client is looking for a QS who can step in quickly and add value from day one.
