Key responsibilities of the Senior Solicitor - Construction Contracts Procurement include:
To assist the Chief Legal Officer in the effective delivery of professional legal advice and guidance to the Chief Constable, Senior Management and other members of Police Scotland and in the execution of legal work with a focus on construction law.
The post holder will be engaged in the matter of construction contracts and also term service contracts including the provision of advice thereon generally, supporting in the preparation of terms for tendering for Works and term services contracts, advising on legal issues arising during the contract term and in the provision of general legal procurement advice as required.
