Job Description Working Pattern: Full Time Working location: Derby Cost Policy Manager – Trent 1000/7000 With over 600 aircraft in service and a growing orderbook of aircraft, the Trent 1000/7000 Value Stream covers the full breadth of activity of those engines in service and provides a unique opportunity to develop business breadth across the lifecycle of an engine. Reporting to the Senior Vice President - Contract Management, you will define a robust cost strategy roadmap, policies and baseline cost assumptions which underpin the profitability of the Trent 1000/7000 so have a direct impact on our business performance. This will be for both existing and future business as well as evaluating the business impact of cost reduction proposals. Responsibilities: Define, secure approval, own and communicate the aftermarket cost strategy consistent with delivery of improved contract returns, 5-year plan commitments, business plan requirements and overall margin improvement objectives. Own the product cost attributes on behalf of the Trent 1000/7000, ensuring the inputs are robust, with clear action plans to reach the committed attributes where required. Accountable for defining accurate and robust aftermarket cost commitments for the 5-year plan and for new and existing business evaluations Own the integrated processes to provide these inputs into our contracted business and associated financial processes. Capture both opportunities & hazards to aftermarket cost and create plans to realise/mitigate including recommendation of financials provision to manage both risks and uncertainties. Integrate with Finance, Service Business, Engineering, Aftermarket Operations and Customer Team to provide clear cost commitments. policies and assumptions Provide business case support and approval for cost reduction initiatives and product changes.
