The Opportunity: QA Ingredients and Product Manager - Acting as the first point of contact for both suppliers and customers regarding technical queries and compliance.
What you will contribute:
Manage the flow of all raw materials and finished products, ensuring they meet the rigorous quality and safety standards.
Conduct and update risk assessments covering allergens, microbiological, chemical, physical and vulnerability aspects to ensure the integrity of all raw materials and finished products.
To onboard new suppliers, reviewing manufacturing controls and ensure all necessary documents are accessible and up to date.
Lead the HACCP and Food Defence Teams, ensuring robust systems are maintained and to drive improvements in safety processes.
Work with NPD to review and approve new ingredients and specifications for new launches.
Responsible for Food Safety, Quality, Legality and Hygiene across all Bread production plants, managing a team of FSQ Specialists across 4 shifts.
Oversee the management of customer complaint investigations, reporting and trending.
Oversee the management of internal audits; including system, GMP and GWP audits, supporting where necessary.
Coordinate sampling schemes and laboratory operations, including equipment maintenance and calibration.
What you will bring / Essential Experience:
Supplier auditing
Experience in the food industry with previous leadership or supervisory responsibilities in a FSQ setting
Specification writing experience
Extensive knoweldge of HACCP
Risk assessment and management
Working knowledge of BRC and major retailer standards
Leading in 3rd party audits to build on current compliance platform
Essential Skills:
HACCP L3 (L4 Desirable)
