The Opportunity: QA Ingredients and Product Manager - Acting as the first point of contact for both suppliers and customers regarding technical queries and compliance.
What you will contribute:
* Manage the flow of all raw materials and finished products, ensuring they meet the rigorous quality and safety standards.
* Conduct and update risk assessments covering allergens, microbiological, chemical, physical and vulnerability aspects to ensure the integrity of all raw materials and finished products.
* To onboard new suppliers, reviewing manufacturing controls and ensure all necessary documents are accessible and up to date.
* Lead the HACCP and Food Defence Teams, ensuring robust systems are maintained and to drive improvements in safety processes.
* Work with NPD to review and approve new ingredients and specifications for new launches.
* Responsible for Food Safety, Quality, Legality and Hygiene across all Bread production plants, managing a team of FSQ Specialists across 4 shifts.
* Oversee the management of customer complaint investigations, reporting and trending.Oversee the management of internal audits; including system, GMP and GWP audits, supporting where necessary.
* Coordinate sampling schemes and laboratory operations, including equipment maintenance and calibration.
What you will bring / Essential Experience:
* Supplier auditing
* Experience in the food industry with previous leadership or supervisory responsibilities in a FSQ setting
* Specification writing experience
* Extensive knoweldge of HACCP
* Risk assessment and managementWorking knowledge of BRC and major retailer standards
* Leading in 3rd party audits to build on current compliance platform
