The Senior Software Test Engineer develops software that runs either on our Linux-based Jenkins master/slaves or on PC platforms.
1. You are responsible for creating high-quality SW deliverables in a timely manner, according to the state-of-the-art software methodologies and as part of the global solution software architecture.
2. The system engineer solves problems discovered resulting from testing due to in depth understanding of the full system and its components and in depth analysis.
3. You will work in a medical device environment, processes apply to comply with the regulatory standards.
4. You will be confronted with a large range of technologies, development languages, network elements, hardware components, etc.
 
Key Responsibilities
5. Have a full understanding of the Nexxis system and its components in order to ensure correct integration in the operating room
6. Support the release process of the Nexxis SW and its components.
7. Develop the Test Strategy for complex systems
8. Develop python system tests: Proficiently create and maintain comprehensive Python-based test suites, ensuring rigorous evaluation of system functionality and performance
9. Analysis, collaboration & drive towards closure of escalated field issues within R&D
10. Thorough Bug Analysis: Meticulously investigate and diagnose system anomalies and faults, employing advanced analytical techniques to identify root causes and contribute to continuous improvement
11. Precise Test Reporting: Generate detailed and precise test reports that convey findings, outcomes, and recommendations accurately, providing essential insights for stakeholders
12. Collaborative Issue Resolution: Collaborate seamlessly with cross-functional development teams to comprehensively dissect issues, facilitating joint problem-solving, analysis, and effective issue reproduction
13. Crafting Medical-Grade Documentation: Produce meticulously detailed test documentation in compliance with medical standards, contributing to the creation of impeccable and regulation-adherent reports
We are looking for a colleague:
14. Possesses a Master's or Bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education and work experience in software development
15. You are familiar with the complete test development life cycle of products and solutions
16. Is attracted by system complexity and eager to find ways to get the related system quality under control
17. Possesses analytical skills and eye for detail and quality
18. Is fully conversational in English. Takes initiative and is strong in communication with other teams and fast learner
19. Fully capable in Python, Git
20. Basic Knowledge about PowerShell, Bash and Groovy
21. Basic understanding of video and audio technology (RAW video, Transcoding, 3D, analog audio)
22. Basic knowledge of web technologies (Html, CSS, JavaScript)
23. Have experience with Jenkins, Linux, Windows, Pytest framework, databases (Databases: SQL)
24. Hands-on mentality and willing to do a minimum of manual testing
25. Ability to decompose complex processes into understandable components
26. Proficiency in automating and optimizing processes
27. Nice to have: C++, Java/Kotlin, Embedded programming, Selenium, Buildroot
