PROPOSED SALARY RANGE: £24,600 - £31,000 depending on relevant skills, knowledge and experience. The expected salary range for this role reflects internal benchmarking and external market insights.

PURPOSE OF THE ROLE
As the BBC’s formal learning website, Bitesize helps millions of students to progress their education. Researchers are integral to the success of the teams delivering content. You will work closely with Bitesize Producers and Assistant Producers, focusing on the future of personalised learning, creating curriculum aligned questions, digital interactions, and innovative content across the web, app and email newsletters.

YOUR KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND IMPACT
* You will play a key role in the delivery of a new personalised adaptive learning experience for GCSE students.
* You will create, edit and publish large volumes of question content for key GCSE subjects including text, images, video and audio.
* You will work with educational consultants and colleagues in Product Group to refine and publish content with educational impact.
* You will work on newsletters and content curation to reach new audiences.
* You will optimise and edit content to improve visibility on external platforms.
ESSENTIAL CRITERIA
* Digital content: Experience of creating high quality online digital content for web and/or app using CMS systems.
* User Insights: Ability to initiate, set up and run user testing and/or audience insight sessions and compile and share the findings with teams.
* Project management: Able to work within defined project-management workflows to deliver their elements of complex digital projects effectively.
* Audience awareness: Experience of the Bitesize audience, the digital education marketplace and the user needs and digital media habits of 5-16 year olds. An appreciation of curriculum learning outcomes and editorial standards.
* Relationship management: Experience of working with suppliers, consultants and writers to commission and review content including images and large volume of question formats.

This role requires a relevant DBS check to be undertaken by the BBC at the appropriate level, at the point of offer of a contract of employment.
