Cyber Security Specialist Location: Hartlepool Power Station ⏳ Contract: 12 months (renewable) | Up to £23.67/hr DOE Start Date: ASAP | On-site, 5 days per week Join one of the UK's leading energy providers as a Cyber Security Specialist, playing a key role in safeguarding critical Operational Technology (OT) systems and supporting the secure, reliable operation of a major power station. This is an opportunity to be part of a highly skilled cyber team protecting infrastructure vital to Britain's Net Zero ambitions. The Role As part of the site Cyber Security Team, you'll work closely with the Site Cyber Security Lead to deliver expert guidance and operational support. You'll be responsible for: Providing advice on cyber security management of OT systems Implementing and tracking actions from cyber security risk assessments Maintaining accurate cyber risk registers and security documentation Managing the security classification and safeguarding of Sensitive Nuclear Information (SNI) related to OT Acting as System Engineer for DMZ, firewalls, and plant-side networks Supporting system operability documentation reviews and quality checks Your work will directly contribute to ensuring the safe, compliant, and cyber-secure operation of the station. About You We're looking for someone who brings: Qualifications: HNC or higher in a relevant discipline (Chartered Engineer status desirable) Expertise: Strong knowledge of cyber security compliance and standards, particularly within OT environments Technical skills: Solid understanding of operating systems, applications, and network infrastructure Soft skills: Excellent organisational, communication, and interpersonal skills; detail-driven with the ability to work independently and collaboratively Security clearance: Ability to meet UK Security Vetting requirements (normally 3 of the last 5 years residency in the UK) You thrive in a team setting, build strong working relationships, and communicate clearly and confidently across all levels. ⚡ Why Join?
