We have an exciting opportunity in the In Hospital Divisional Finance team, based at The Royal Gwent Hospital in Newport. This permanent role represents an excellent opportunity for an enthusiastic, highly motivated and flexible individual. The Finance Business Partner Accountant role will lead a Business Partnering team supporting the newly expanded Clinical Support Services Division of ABUHB.
We are seeking a high level finance professional who is keen to make a significant impact. The role will lead the Finance business partnering team to provide comprehensive financial advice, support and challenge across the Clinical Support Services Division.
Main duties of the job
You will become an integral and dependable resource within the Finance department and in supporting the Divisional team, with the Finance Business Partnering team being instrumental in driving performance and ensuring efficient use of resources. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing insight and financial understanding across and to a wide range of non-finance budget holders.
As Finance Business Partner Accountant you will be required to lead and coordinate the wider team.
The role will work closely with Clinical and Operational teams as they pursue the Clinical Futures strategy across the Health Board redesigning care pathways and service models.
You be liaising closely with stakeholders to ensure that all cost improvement opportunities are both identified and realised. You will be involved in influencing business decisions by providing support and challenge in the development of business cases for investment.
You will utilise your business and financial acumen to support budget holders in the development of financial plans, developing realistic financial forecasts and identifying the key risks and mitigations to financial delivery.
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.
