Key Responsibilities
* Plan and deliver tailored lessons that meet the needs of students with SEMH
* Develop meaningful relationships with students to support emotional development
* Work closely with support staff and senior leaders to maintain a safe, consistent environment
* Track and assess pupil progress and adapt teaching accordingly
* Participate in professional development and whole-school improvement initiatives
* Lead a classroom with clear boundaries, high expectations, and empathy
* Support pupils' reintegration and future pathways
Qualifications and Experience
* QTS or equivalent teaching qualification (essential)
* Experience working with SEMH or complex SEND learners
* Strong behaviour management and de-escalation skills
* Understanding of trauma-informed and restorative approaches
* Ability to build trust and motivate disengaged learners
* Flexible and creative teaching style
* A commitment to inclusion and personalised learning
