Are you an experienced Principal/Lead/Senior Protection & Control Engineer with experience in the energy sector? We are looking to bring on board a Senior Principal Protection & Control Engineer. You will join a growing and collaborative team, partnering with various clients to develop innovative and sustainable solutions to industry-wide efficiency and environmental challenges. With our ambitious growth plans, there are numerous development opportunities within our teams. This is your chance to play a crucial role in the UK energy transition.
Your Role
* Develop scoping documentation and Main Connections & Protection Diagrams.
* Review Protection & Control Designs developed by third parties.
* Specify P&C related equipment and plant such as relays, CTs, and VTs.
* Produce detailed designs including AC/DC schematics.
* Conduct protection grading studies, produce relay files and settings.
* Review Commissioning Plans and attend Commissioning Panel meetings.

About You
* Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in electrical engineering or a related field.
* Experience working on Distribution Networks as a Senior/Principal Protection & Control Design Engineer.
* Knowledge and experience with protection relays and relay panels, CT & VT sizing calculations, protection grading studies, and producing detailed AC/DC drawings.
* Familiarity with UK electrical practices and standards and an understanding/appreciation of CDM regulations.
* High regard for safety with demonstrable experience in risk mitigation.
* Experience working with National Grid processes.
