Randstad Education is collaborating with a welcoming primary school in Southport seeking a dedicated Teaching Assistant to make a positive impact. This role involves working in the Reception class and supporting pupils with special needs, including global delay and speech/language difficulties. This fulfilling position offers the potential for a permanent role for the ideal candidate.

Responsibilities:
* Supporting children to learn both inside and outside the classroom.
* Supporting teachers to set up exciting and innovative lessons.
* Creating inviting activities for the children in your care
* Teaching basic life skills to the children and supporting development
* You will communicate effectively with children, staff, parents and carers where required
* You must adapt your support depending on the needs of the children
Requirements:
* Teaching Assistant experience is desirable but not essential
* EAL experience is highly desirable
* An enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to get one)
* At least 6 months experience working with children (must be able to reference your recent work with 2 professional references)
* Eligibility to work in the UK (Sponsorship is not available for this role)
* A true passion to work with children
* Able to display sensitivity and patience
* CACHE L2/L3 or direct nursery experience preferred
* We welcome applicants who have also worked in other childcare settings such as youth workers / brownie or scout leaders etc
