We now have a permanent vacancy for a Principal Electrical Designer to join a leading equipment manufacturer in the North Bristol / Gloucestershire area.
With a proven track record in Electrical Design and Team Leadership, you can drive the development of how my client delivers electrical engineering, leading their transition to better ways of working.
Leading and mentoring the team, you will ensure all work complies with company and required market standards (E.g. EN standards).
You should be proficient in the use of AutoCAD Electrical, Excel, Word and Outlook.
You will work with a range of personnel in addition to the Electrical Design team, providing technical information required for manuals and other documentation, ensuring specifications are clear and complete and translating technical requirements into structured modular designs.
Further you will liaise with sub-contractors and, where necessary, carry out supplier/site visits.
Leading on the growth and continuous improvements, you will lead engineering team members, helping to ensure their professional growth and development, including onboarding new staff, whilst supporting the Electrical Engineering Manager with the running of the department.

Experience:
As Principal Electrical Designer, you should have a proven track record in Electrical Design, designing machine control systems, and strong team leadership experience.
Full proficiency in AutoCAD Electrical / LT 2014 / Solid Edge / CAD is essential for this role.
Qualifications:
A relevant Engineering Degree is required. A Postgrad qualification or Chartered Engineer are preferred .

Competitive salary in the region of c£65/68k, plus generous benefits
