Workshop Controller - Lead from the Heart of the Workshop!

We’re looking for a Workshop Controller to lead day-to-day operations in our Stoke workshop. You'll be the key link between our technicians, service advisors, and customers — ensuring every vehicle leaves in top condition, on time, and to the highest standards.

What you will be doing?
Aftersales Leadership:
* Oversee the smooth running of the workshop each day
* Allocate jobs and manage workload to ensure high technician productivity
* Motivate and guide your team to deliver quality work and meet deadlines
* Monitor job progress, solve problems, and ensure timely handovers
* Liaise with service, parts, and customers to ensure exceptional service
* Support the Workshop Manager in meeting departmental KPIs
Admin & Planning:
* Review completed job cards for billing and compliance accuracy
* Maintain vehicle files, reports, VOR records, and warranty documentation
* Analyse workshop performance metrics to identify areas for improvement
Communication & Team Culture:
* Be the go-to contact between workshop, service advisors, and customers
* Provide coaching and feedback to technicians, fostering a high-performance culture
* Keep everyone aligned and updated on job status and customer expectations
Compliance & Quality:
* Conduct quality audits to uphold brand and safety standards
* Ensure Health & Safety practices are followed in the workshop at all times
What we are looking for?
* Previous experience as a Workshop Controller or Senior Technician
* Strong leadership, planning, and communication skills
* Confidence with IT systems and workshop management software
* Problem-solver with a sharp eye for quality and detail
* Calm under pressure and motivated to hit performance targets
* A collaborative approach to leading and developing a team
