Supporting the station manager on all aspects of operational delivery at your designated Airport(s) with a focus on continuous improvement. To deliver a consistently outstanding safe and compliant operation leading and motivating staff by example.
Ensure that KPI’s are delivered through effective utilisation of facilities, services and staff resources. And to support the growth of the business and service through continued professional developing of a trained workforce, obtaining excellent value for money on expenditure and good management of budgetary spend.
Support on the compliance with Civil Aviation Authorities (CAA), European Aviation Safety Agency (EASA),Health & Safety Executive (HSE), Environment Agency (EA), Department for Transport (DfT) legislation and regulations and Primeflight Group policies and procedures
Your tasks
1. Planning, organising and directing operational activates at designated airports.
2. Responsibility for staff and operational Safety Management System.
3. Accountability for HSE performance of any employee at the Airport(s) covered
4. Ensure that all procedures and processes are maintained in line with current legislation and internal policies ensuring adherence to regulatory frameworks applicable to operation (e.g DfT, HSE, CAA, EA, EASA)
5. Ensure that all audit findings both internal and external are addressed within the agreed timescales.
6. Conduct Safety tours/inspections/audits as per the agreed schedule.
7. Ensure that all accidents, incidents and near misses are reported and investigated as per company policy.
8. Drive high levels of performance and service against customers SLAs.
9. Meet expected objectives in regard to productivity and training.
10. Driving the delivery of SLA standards, including overall punctuality and quality of service whilst assessing processes and systems that will enhance the ability to measure, assess, and improve cost and service performance across the operation. · Improve business operating cost and operating efficiency throughout the operation · Improve passenger experience and airside services
11. Drive adaptation of best practices
12. Drive safety performance improvements
13. Ensure the delivery of the operational resource plan
14. Ensure the day to day running of the services are delivered to cost and time objectives
15. Provide leadership and line management for Primeflight Ground Handling staff
16. Create regular and effective communication channels to staff
17. Ensure that all staff are trained and maintain competence to carry out their role
18. Build, develop, and manage a talent pipeline for the business
19. Promote a culture of performance linked to organisational values
Your profile
20. Ability to deal effectively with difficult people.
21. Excellent communication skills, a proactive leader with a confident, professional approach at all times that enables effective resolution of conflicts and delivery of relevant solutions through a collaborative team centred ethos.
22. Ability to build and maintain excellent working relationship with internal and external colleagues and suppliers.
23. A willingness to Performance management and or coach staff if the need arises. · Effective written and verbal communication
24. Be Service delivery focused.
25. Advanced airside and passenger service operations. Desirable
26. To have undertaken a formal managerial training programme.
27. A recognised and relevant Safety Management System and or HSE qualification.
28. Leading and motivating teams within an airport environment.
