Appropriate staff training is critical to the successful implementation and proper use of an Electronic Patient Record (EPR).
The Clinical Digital Educator will support the Senior Clinical Digital Educator in developing and executing the Training Strategy for the EPR across two NHS organisations: Chesterfield Royal Hospital (CRH) and University Hospitals of Derby and Burton NHS Foundation Trust (UHDB). The goal is to enhance clinical data quality and digital systems proficiency among healthcare professionals.
Key responsibilities include collaborating with stakeholders, leveraging data insights, implementing tailored learning approaches, supporting system rollouts, and staying updated on digital advancements to improve training and user experience. The role also involves meeting KPIs, providing on-site support during system go-lives, and fostering a culture of continuous learning and innovation in clinical digital education.
Specific duties:
Support the development and implementation of the UHDB/CRH EPR Training Strategy and Plan.
Work with the EPR Programme Team to deliver training for each implementation phase, ensuring seamless integration into staff workflows.
Be visible in clinical areas to provide hands-on training, troubleshoot, and assist end-users.
Prepare clinical teams to minimize operational disruptions during EPR go-live.
Collaborate closely with divisions to address digital education needs.
