Role Overview
Chef Manager at Impact Food Group – leading the kitchen at Cardinal Newman Catholic School and ensuring high‑quality, fresh, seasonal meals for students and clients.
Responsibilities
* Lead and manage a kitchen team, ensuring smooth service during term and inset periods.
* Prepare menus using seasonal ingredients and produce food at volume to meet school specifications.
* Maintain food safety and hygiene standards, ensuring all due‑diligence requirements are met.
* Coordinate with onsite clients and staff to align meal provisions with educational or event needs.
Qualifications
* Proven experience as a chef manager or senior kitchen manager.
* Strong people‑management and organisational skills.
* Ability to cook a diverse range of dishes using fresh, seasonal ingredients.
* Knowledge of food‑service regulations and health‑safety standards.
Working Details
Location: Cardinal Newman Catholic School
Working days: Monday to Friday
Shift: 7am – 4pm (45 hours per week)
Working weeks: 42 weeks per year (term time, inset days, and 3 additional weeks)
Salary: £40,000 – £42,000 per year

Health & Safety / DBS
Application will include an interview and kitchen visit. Successful candidates will undergo an enhanced DBS check, which IFG will fund.
