As a Geography Teacher, you will deliver high-quality lessons that develop students’ understanding of physical and human geography, environmental issues, and global perspectives. You will encourage curiosity, critical thinking, and informed discussion within a positive and inclusive classroom environment. Key Responsibilities of a Geography Teacher : Plan and deliver engaging Geography lessons in line with the national curriculum. Develop students’ geographical skills, knowledge, and understanding of global issues. Assess, track, and report on student progress effectively. Create a positive, inclusive, and well-managed classroom environment. Maintain high standards of behaviour in line with school policies. Collaborate with colleagues to support departmental and whole-school goals. What we need : Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent. Strong subject knowledge in Geography or a related field. Previous experience teaching Geography in secondary schools is desirable. Excellent classroom management and communication skills. Ability to engage and motivate students of varying abilities. A valid enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service or willingness to apply through GSL.
