Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced Enterprise Security Advisor/Architect to focus on Data Security (DSPM, Email DLP, Endpoint DLP, ITM, Cloud DLP/CASB, Isolation) for Fortune500 organizations. The ideal candidate will lead pre‑sales discovery and planning workshops with CIO/CISO level decision‑makers, advising customers on how to combine existing technology with Proofpoint solutions to achieve their data security goals.
Location
Reading, United Kingdom – on‑site preferred.
Day‑to‑Day Responsibilities
* Engage with current and prospective customers in person, by phone, and/or video conference to understand their data security requirements.
* Conduct or lead discovery and planning pre‑sales workshops across EMEA.
* Build rapport, trust, and credibility with customers and partners to influence major data security programs.
* Present at industry seminars and trade shows when invited.
* Provide customer insights and real‑world experience to Product Management, Marketing, and Engineering teams.
* Stay current on threat landscape and emerging security technologies, positioning Proofpoint as a leader in SaaS protection and other security facets.
Qualifications
* 6+ years of experience as a practitioner or consultant implementing data security programs.
* Strong executive‑level presentation and communication skills, both verbal and written.
* In‑depth knowledge of data security posture management, enterprise data loss prevention, cloud security, insider threat management, and incident response.
* Familiarity with current DLP and insider risk tools and technologies.
* Organized, detail‑oriented, and process‑oriented.
* Self‑starter capable of working independently or collaboratively.
* Ability to travel up to 50% of the time.
* Security certifications such as CISSP are strongly preferred.
* Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in cybersecurity.
