Overview
Are you an experienced System Safety Engineer looking to apply your skills in a new and complex problem domain? We are recruiting for a number of system safety engineers who will work on real engineering problems, ensuring our products are safe and comply with regulatory standards, whilst championing a safety culture in our projects. Your work could contribute to:
* Radar systems for fighter jets like the Typhoon and SAAB Gripen
* GCAP – Future Generation Radar & Electro-Optical Targeting products
* Infra-Red Counter Measures (IRCM) systems
* Laser target designators and ranging systems
* Surveillance AESA (Active Electronically Scanned Array) radars
Responsibilities
* Apply safety analysis to complex systems in a safety-critical industry.
* Work across multiple engineering lifecycle phases.
* Support safety-related regulatory compliance with standards such as ARP4754B, ARP4761A, RTCA DO-254, or DO-178C.
Key Skills
* Experience of safety analysis of complex systems in a safety-critical industry.
* Experience across a number of engineering lifecycle phases.
* Experience with at least one of: ARP4754B, ARP4761A, RTCA DO-254, or DO-178C.
* An interest in new and emerging technologies and safety analysis techniques.
* Knowledge of lasers, radar systems, and/or sensors and defensive aids systems.
What Else Would Help
* Experience with any of the following tools: Cameo Systems Modeler, Microsoft Azure, IBM DOORS, Adelard ASCE, Isograph Reliability Work Bench
