Head of Operations (Lincoln) Salary: Up to £80,000 DOE generous benefits Were working with a fast-growing, technology-led manufacturing site in Lincoln looking for an experienced operations leader to take full ownership of site performance, delivery and continuous improvement. This is a hands-on senior role for someone who thrives on driving operational excellence in a technical manufacturing environment and who can scale processes and teams as the business grows. What youll own End-to-end responsibility for site operations from material receipt to finished goods and on-time customer delivery. Lead and develop the operations team (production, planning, quality, warehouse) to hit delivery, quality and safety targets. Set and manage site budgets and forecasts; drive margin improvements through tighter cost control and productivity gains. Own planning, inventory and supplier performance to ensure materials, capacity and cashflow are optimised. Implement, monitor and report key operational KPIs and use data to drive rapid improvement. Lead continuous improvement initiatives (Lean, 5S, process redesign) to raise throughput and reduce waste. Ensure compliance with health & safety and any applicable quality standards; partner with Quality on audits and corrective actions. Act as a senior leadership team member contribute to strategic planning and help scale the site as the business grows. Who were looking for Proven senior operations/plant management experience in a technology, electronics, defence or specialist manufacturing environment. Comfortable in a project-driven setting managing multiple concurrent releases or customer programs. Strong track record of delivering cost, quality and on-time delivery improvements. Hands-on leader who can motivate and develop multi-disciplinary teams. Solid experience with planning, inventory control and supplier management. Experience with operational systems and tools (ERP/production planning, Excel/BI dashboards, CI methodology). Excellent communicator who can translate operational priorities into clear plans and mobilise the team. Degree or equivalent in engineering, operations management or related discipline preferred. Nice to have Experience in regulated environments or familiarity with quality management systems (ISO, similar) is advantageous.
