Role Overview
We are looking for a proactive and driven Business Development Manager to spearhead growth in the construction security sector, specialising in integrated security solutions. This is a field/office based role requiring strong B2B sales skills, on-the-road prospecting, and end-to-end sales management, from initial contact to project delivery.
Key Responsibilities
Prospecting & Lead Generation:
* Identify and target construction companies, contractors, and site managers for security solutions.
* Conduct on-the-road prospecting and cold visits to construction sites and offices.
Client Engagement & Relationship Building:
* Arrange and attend face-to-face meetings with decision-makers.
* Build long-term relationships with clients, acting as a trusted advisor for their security needs.
Site Surveys & Solution Design:
* Undertake detailed site surveys to assess security requirements.
* Recommend tailored solutions, including mobile CCTV towers and integrated security systems.
Sales Process Management:
* Prepare and deliver accurate quotes and proposals.
* Manage the full sales cycle from initial contact through to contract signing and handover.
Market Development:
* Stay informed on construction security trends and competitor offerings.
* Identify opportunities for upselling and cross-selling additional security services.
Reporting & Performance:
* Maintain accurate records of sales activities, pipeline, and forecasts.
* Achieve and exceed monthly and quarterly sales targets.
Experience
* Proven experience in B2B sales, ideally within construction security or related sectors.
* Strong knowledge of Mobile CCTV Units, IP CCTV systems, access control, and integrated security solutions.
* Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
* Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and travel extensively.
* Full UK driving license.
