Job Description:
We have a great opportunity to join our Development Team as a Development Assistant (Aftercare)! This position will play a vital role in providing an efficient and customer focused aftercare and defects resolution service. You will advise customers on their responsibilities in their new home and work with the Development Team to ensure the smooth transition of new homes from build stage to customer occupancy.
We own and manage c.7,500 homes in the east of England, working closely with other agencies and stakeholders within our communities. We build on the good foundations we have in place in being a customer-centric organisation, investing in our existing homes - including our zero-carbon journey - as well as building new homes.
We’ve also concluded a review of how we work in the future, with options around home and office flexible working, as well as a generous annual leave allowance and other benefits.
Requirements
Outline of Key Responsibilities...
* Be the primary point of contact for customers reporting defects in new developments
* Lead on resolving defects reported by customers
* To resolve reported defects with Contractor and Employers Agents and ensure they are completed within the required timescales
* To monitor the ‘Defects Enquiries’ inbox and, where appropriate to do so, raise, amend, or cancel defects orders if required
* To respond to queries from contractors and customers in respect of snags reported at practical completion, defects through the defect liability period and defects at the end of defects inspections
* Co-ordinate diary management for all End of Defect Inspections with the Contractor, Employers Agent, and Development Team
We are looking for someone who has...
* Experience of working in a customer care role
* Proven experience of using Microsoft Office packages, including Word, Excel, Teams, Power point and Housing/Assets/ CRM databases
* Clear communication skills, both oral and written
* Ability to communicate with a range of people, in person, in writing and by telephone
* Good attention to detail and able to work to strict deadlines
