What you’ll be doing
As an Optometrist at Boots, you’ll play a key role in delivering brilliant patient care – using the latest tech, working alongside experienced colleagues, and supporting your community with clinical excellence. Whether you’re leading a clinic, responding to triage, or mentoring others, no two days are the same and your growth never stops.
Key responsibilities
* Leads clinics and delivers outstanding patient care.
* Uses the latest testing technology to assess eye health and provide expert advice.
* Provides enhanced services, from triage support to advanced assessments, depending on store needs.
* Offers clinical support to colleagues on the shop floor.
* Collaborates with external health‑care professionals.
* Maintains and shares up‑to‑date clinical knowledge with others.
* Plays a key role in the store’s leadership team, bringing energy and insight to every shift.

What you’ll need to have (our must‑haves)
* Confident, compassionate Optometrist focused on patient care.
* GOC registered (or expecting to be within 6 months).
* NHS performer number (or working towards it).
* Excellent communication and organisational skills.
* Genuine interest in patient care and team collaboration.
It would be great if you also have
* Experience supporting enhanced services.
* A strong understanding of local clinical networks.
