Technical Support Manager – Woodpecker Flooring
UK-wide travel | Mon–Fri, 07:30–16:30 (flexibility required)
We are seeking an experienced Technical Support Manager to lead our technical capability framework and support high standards of installation, training, and technical service across the business. This is a hands‑on role working closely with customers, installers, and internal teams to drive continuous improvement and customer satisfaction.
Key responsibilities
* Delivering structured technical training programmes and CPD sessions
* Identifying skills gaps and developing technical teams
* Providing expert advice on installation methods, subfloor preparation, and product suitability
* Conducting and overseeing site inspections and technical investigations
* Acting as a technical escalation point for complex technical queries
* Supporting Sales, Customer Service, and New Business Development teams
* Maintaining accurate technical documentation and records
* Responding to technical queries within agreed service levels
Skills and experience
* Minimum 5 years’ experience in a technical services or installation role within flooring, construction, or a related industry
* Strong understanding of installation standards and product performance
* Experience delivering technical training and CPD
* Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
* Strong organisational and problem‑solving abilities
* Confident using digital systems for documentation and reporting
