About Our Client
Our client is a well established construction company seeking a part time HR assistant to join the team to assist the HR manager with day to day operations.
Job Description
3. Assist with day to day operations including employee queries, HR documentation & maintaining accurate employee records.
4. Support the recruitment process including liaising with recruiters, screening applications, coordinating interviews and onboarding new staff & recruitment of apprentices.
5. Serve as a point of contact for employees, providing guidance on policies and procedures and assist the HR manager with ER matters.
6. Support line management with annual performance appraisal process & probationary reviews, ensuring documentation is filed appropriately.
7. Maintain and update the HR database in line with any absence, contract changes made or new starters / leavers.
8. Conduct pre-employment checks and reference requests.
9. Process leavers, conduct exit interviews & analyse leaver data.
10. Produce standard references for leavers as required.
11. Process DBS checks and other client specific vetting procedures.
12. Organise Occupational Health checks for staff and ensure follow ups are arranged.
The Successful Applicant
13. CIPD level 3 qualified or equivalent experience within HR
14. A good understanding of HR processes & best practices, including recruitment, ER & performance management
15. Good time management & organisational skills
16. Excellent written and verbal communication skills
17. Good attention to detail and ability to maintain accuracy in administrative tasks
18. Able to meet deadlines and adapt to the needs of the role as may be required
19. Experience with HR systems and proficiency in MS Office.
20. Able to handle sensitive information with integrity & confidentiality.
