Job Summary:
The Balance Sheet Projects Senior Finance Manager will oversee and manage projects related to the balance sheet, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and process improvements. This includes enhancing automation, reliability, efficiency, and controls over the Group’s balance sheet reconciliations and reviews. The role requires strong analytical skills, project management expertise, a deep understanding of financial statements, and the ability to collaborate across Finance and technology teams. This is a 12-month fixed-term contract with a hybrid work model (3 days/week in London office).
Key Responsibilities:
1. Lead and manage balance sheet-related projects from inception to completion, ensuring timely delivery and alignment with business objectives.
2. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including accounting, treasury, and financial planning, to gather requirements and ensure project success.
3. Analyze balance sheet accounts to identify improvement areas and implement best practices.
4. Develop and maintain project plans and timelines.
5. Prepare and present updates, reports, and findings to senior management and stakeholders.
6. Ensure compliance with accounting standards, regulations, and internal policies.
7. Identify risks and develop mitigation strategies.
8. Provide training and support to team members on balance sheet management and project methodologies.
9. Monitor industry trends to enhance balance sheet management practices.
Qualifications:
* Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field; Master’s degree or professional certifications (e.g., CPA, CFA) preferred.
* Proven experience in financial management, balance sheet analysis, and project management.
* Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial statements, and regulations.
* Excellent project management skills and experience with project management tools.
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Proficiency in financial software and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Google Workspace).
* Ability to manage multiple projects independently in a fast-paced environment.
