Estates Services Officer £23,204 to £26,950 per annum Coventry Based (You will need to go to Birmingham/Hereford/Worcester at times) Permanent, Full Time Our client are seeking Estate Service Officers to join their estate teams based in Coventry working across Coventry, Birmingham, and Worcester. In this role, you will be responsible for the appearance, cleanliness, and operational effectiveness of the internal and external communal parts of the blocks and Estates which theyown. In housing you can make a real difference, the role of Estates services officer will involve: To be responsible for the appearance, cleanliness, and operational effectiveness of the internal and external communal parts of our clients blocks / land including littler picking & bins To be responsible for all equipment and ensure it is kept in a clean condition and good working order. Undertake daily maintenance including minor repairs and ensuring safe use and storage of all equipment. To deal effectively with queries from managers, officers and residents ensuring a high standard of customer care, and to assist in the first instance investigation of complaints or enquires. Drivers are to ensure vehicles are driven, cleaned, maintained, and parked in a responsible manner thereby fully complying with all applicable and relevant legislation. Logbooks are completed daily. Any change to driver validity is reported to human resources and line management. To transport and dispose of all collected items within current legislative guidelines and in line with company contracts and procedures. No items are to be given or sold to or left for any unauthorized party or scrap dealer. To operate mechanical handheld machinery in a correct safe manner in line with risk assessments for that particular machine. Where required to undertake training. Remove any abandoned items from voids, including loft spaces and undertake initial cleaning, including basic pest control to enable repairs staff to work in dwellings. Proper training will be given to all staff for use of chemicals. To move abandoned goods / furniture to storage as directed by Estates services and Neighbourhoods. To be able to work effectively, trustworthily and in line with company values in the absence of the team leader. To carry a mobile phone for communication purposes and undertake reporting as instructed by line management. To ensure the phone is working fully and report any default to line manager urgently. To complete all paperwork associated with the duties you are tasked to undertake. To carry out gardening and horticultural duties as requested and ensure all work is carried out to a good standard. To carry out weekly and quarterly routine checks on playgrounds and play areas owne d. Deal with tenants and work alongside Neighbourhoods Team Mechanically clean bins of all sizes. Complete requests for removal of items under the process. All work to be undertaken in line with our policies and procedures, including Health and Safety, Customer Involvement, Equality and Diversity and Safeguarding Undertake any other duties commensurate with this post as reasonably requested by the As an Estates services officer our client need you to have: Experience in bulk and household waste removal including clearing and removal of goods from void properties. Experience in garden clearances, garden cutbacks, shed and garage clearances and bin chute clearing, gutter clears. Experience of operating standard tools and equipment Knowledge and understanding of Road traffic laws and regulations. Experience of working in a team Completion of paperwork relating to daily work Basic Health and Safety knowledge in an estates and services environment including the use of equipment. Experience of dealing with customers and commitment to delivering a high level of customer satisfaction Be able to work to and meet varying deadlines. Be able to work in unpleasant conditions. Be able to undertake physical activities including lifting of heavy items.
