Mechanical Technician (Maintenance/Days) – Glossop
Salary: GBP 40,000 + Overtime (1.5x) + 24 Holidays + Bank Holidays + Development Opportunities
Shift patterns available: Monday to Friday 07:00 to 15:30 OR Monday to Thursday 14:00 to Midnight
Overview
Mechanical Technician required for an industry leading manufacturer offering a days role in a friendly working environment. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a company who have invested heavily into machinery on site and are committed to employee development through external training and progression.
This role would suit a mechanically biased engineer. Candidates from any industry are encouraged and you will need to hold an engineering qualification.
The successful candidate will be joining a small but growing engineering team responsible for carrying out PPMs, repairs and project work across the companys Glossop site.
Responsibilities
* PPMs and servicing of machinery
* Reactive repairs when required
* Project work: new machinery
* Working with moulding machinery, hot wire cutters, granulation systems etc.
* Working with steam, boilers, hydraulics and pneumatics
Candidate profile
* Mechanically biased or multiskilled engineer
* Hold a relevant engineering qualification
* Any industry background
