Location: Birmingham (Hybrid Work Pattern)
Hays are working in partnership with a local council to recruit a Project Support Officer with a strong background in data research. This role will involve supporting strategic development, data analysis, and grant/external funding planning officers to support the development of the City's Employment and Skills.
Key Responsibilities
Support the Principal Project Manager - Strategy (Employment & Skills) in developing a collective employment and skills strategy across all council directorates.
Coordinate and collate responses from multiple stakeholders, producing a comprehensive strategy and implementation plan.
Build and maintain relationships with external partners to ensure the strategy is city-wide and inclusive.
Take ownership of specific programme work streams and deliver tasks as directed by the programme manager.
Network and engage with stakeholders to strengthen collaboration.
Identify external funding and grant opportunities to support projects and council services within the employment and skills sector.
Work collaboratively across departments to develop proposals and secure funding.
Prepare and submit funding applications, ensuring partnerships are in place to maximise success.
Skills & Experience Required:
Strong research and analytical skills, with the ability to interpret and present data effectively.
Excellent organisational and communication skills.
Ability to manage multiple tasks and workstreams simultaneously.
Experience in stakeholder engagement and partnership development.
Knowledge of funding streams and grant application processes (desirable).
Graduate-level education or equivalent experience.
