An exciting opportunity has arisen to become a Patient Pathway Assistant within the Diabetes and Endocrine department at Southend Hospital.
This challenging position requires a team player who is flexible, organised and can work well under pressure. The post holder will provide comprehensive secretarial and administrative support to the Consultant and clinical teams and ensure smooth patient pathway operations.
Key responsibilities include providing administrative support to the clinical team, coordinating patient records, scheduling appointments, handling communications, and maintaining high standards of patient care in a busy environment.

Qualifications
* GCSE or equivalent in Maths and English
* Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
* Experience as a secretary/administrator in a busy environment
* Understanding of medical terminology
* NHS experience
* Experience with Trust computer systems
Communication and Personal Skills
* Strong command of English, punctuation and grammar
* Excellent organisational skills with the ability to prioritise workload, meet deadlines and assist the consultant and team in running a smooth service
