Overview
Post: Consultant in Orthodontics. 24 hpw (6 sessions per week). Base: Dumfries & Galloway Royal Infirmary / Glasgow Dental Hospital. Occasional clinical commitments at the Galloway Community Hospital in Stranraer.
Salary: £111,430 - £148,064.
Responsibilities
* Provide a comprehensive diagnostic and advisory service for patients referred to the Orthodontic Department at DGRI.
* Lead interdisciplinary management of Dentofacial/Craniofacial conditions and Hypodontia cases, working closely with colleagues across specialties to deliver high-quality patient care.
* Contribute to the effective functioning of the department and support the professional supervision and development of Training Grade staff.
* Assume the role of Clinical Lead for the established Managed Clinical Network (MCN) in Orthodontics across Dumfries and Galloway, which includes two Specialist Practices in Dumfries and one in Ayr.
Qualifications and requirements
* Fully registered with the GMC.
* Included on the Specialist Register for Orthodontics (or eligible for inclusion within 6 months of interview).
