A unique opportunity has arisen to shape and lead the finance function of an innovative, growing business based in Sheffield.This is a newly created role, offering the chance to build the accounting infrastructure from the ground up.You’ll work closely with the directors to provide financial insights and ensure the finance function is a strategic asset as the business continues to scale.Key Responsibilities
* Produce timely and accurate management information to support decision-making
* Oversee and develop day-to-day financial operations, including ledger maintenance
* Ensure compliance with HMRC regulations and manage all statutory obligations
* Optimise financial systems, processes, and reporting tools
* Lead on tax matters
* Drive improvements in the use of finance software to increase efficiency
* Partner with the directors to provide insight and challenge on performance and strategy
About You
* Qualified accountant (ACA / ACCA / CIMA or equivalent)
* Strong experience in a manufacturing or product-led environment
* Comfortable operating independently and setting up processes from scratch
