Description In this role, you’ll take ownership of delivering major IT projects that directly enable Heathrow’s strategic priorities. You’ll lead supplier partnerships, engage stakeholders, and ensure outcomes are delivered to the highest standards of quality, safety, and compliance, making a tangible impact on one of the world’s most complex and high-profile operational environments. Responsibilities Lead and coordinate to deliver the IT capabilities that enable Heathrow to meet its strategic priorities. Drive project delivery plans, ensuring successful handover into business-as-usual operations. Collaborate with sponsors and stakeholders to define business needs, scope, and expected outcomes. Anticipate and manage risks, removing blockers to keep projects on track. Set up effective governance structures and represent projects at key investment and decision-making forums. Manage contracts and supplier relationships, ensuring compliance with procurement standards and delivering value. Report with clarity and accuracy on progress, risks, budgets, and overall performance. Champion safety and wellbeing, creating a compliant and positive working environment for all involved. Qualifications Proven success leading the delivery of multiple, large-scale projects (multi-million-pound in value), using both agile and waterfall methodologies. Background in complex, fast-paced environments, ideally where technology enables business transformation. Experience working with suppliers and outsourced models, taking accountability for delivery outcomes. Confidence in financial management and commercial negotiation, ensuring projects deliver value for money. Excellent communication and influencing skills, with the ability to build trust, balance stakeholder needs, and drive delivery forward. Strong decision-making ability, particularly in ambiguous or high-pressure situations. Proactive leadership style — motivating teams and partners to achieve shared goals.
