Supply Desk is excited to be working with a vibrant and inclusive primary school in Chesham, currently seeking a passionate and experienced EYFS Lead & Reception Teacher. This is a full-time role ideal for a dedicated educator who is ready to lead Early Years provision and inspire a love of learning in young children.
About the Role:
Leading the Early Years Foundation Stage, ensuring high standards of teaching, learning, and care
Teaching a Reception class, delivering a creative, engaging curriculum in line with EYFS framework
Monitoring and supporting pupils' progress through formative and summative assessment
Mentoring and supporting EYFS staff, helping to maintain consistency and excellence across the phase
Creating a warm, stimulating environment that fosters independence, curiosity, and development
Collaborating with SLT, staff, and parents to promote children’s wellbeing and readiness for KS1
The ideal candidate will:
Hold QTS (Qualified Teacher Status)
Have substantial experience teaching in EYFS, ideally with previous leadership or phase lead experience
Demonstrate a strong understanding of the EYFS framework and best practices in early years education
Be a nurturing, reflective practitioner with excellent communication and organisational skills
Show strong leadership qualities and the ability to inspire colleagues within the EYFS team
Be committed to safeguarding and promoting the wellbeing of all pupils
